Goa covers an area of 3702 square kilometers
and comprises two Revenue district viz North
Goa and South Goa. Boundaries of Goa State
are defined in the North Terekhol river
which separates it from Maharashtra, in
the East and South by Karnataka State and
West by Arabian Sea. Goa lies in Western
Coast of India and is 594 Kms (by road)
away from Mumbai city.
Climate
Usually
the climatic conditions of Goa are temperate,
except during the monsoon, which lasts from
June to September. Thanks to the coastal
Konkan region and the backdrop of Western
Ghats, weather of Goa is pleasant and sunny.
There are no extremes in temperature and
no clear demarcations from one season to
the other except for the monsoon.

Air
: Dabolim, about 30 km from Panji (the capital)
on the coast near Vasco da Gama, is Goa's
international airport.It is well connected
to major cities of India and other international
airports. There are numerous Flights of
reputed Airlines like Lufthansa, KLM, Air
France, Air India every day direct from
U.K., U.S., Australia, Canada etc.
Railways
:There is a direct daily express train to
Delhi, Mangalore, Mumbai, Vadadora and Thiruvanathapuram.
There are almost half a dozen direct express
between Margao and Mangalore or Kankanadi.
Margao (Madgaon) and Vasco DA Gama are two
main and convenient stations at Goa.
Roadways
: Apart from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka
state road transport corporations provide
bus services. These bus services and available
to and from Kadamba Bus Stand of Panaji.The
service is also available from to Bangalore,
Hampi, Hyderabad, Pune and other places.
Taxis could also be hired from Mumbai, which
takes 8-10 hrs to reach Panji. One can stay,
midway at Chiplun on NH 17.
Waterways
: Those visiting Goa between October and
May, can opt for catamaran service between
Mumbai and Panaji.
